Onboarding requirements — GC Exchange FZE

GC Exchange FZE is licensed by the Dubai Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority (VARA) to provide virtual asset services. The documents required to onboard differ for corporates and individuals, and are set out below. Please note tha these will be requested during the onboarding process and as part of the onboarding questionnaire which the GCEX Compliance Team will share via email.

Requirements for onboarding Corporates 

While completing the Form, you will be requested to provide the following documents on behalf of the Account Holder:
  • Articles of Association;
  • Certificate of Incorporation;
  • Commercial/Trade License; (if applicable) 
  • Director/Shareholder Register;
  • Company Bank Statement not older than 3 months 
  • Source of Funds;
  • Source of Wealth;
  • 1x ID on behalf of:
    o    Beneficial owner(s) owning more than 25% of the company; and
    o    Authorised individual(s)
  • 1x proof of address on behalf of:
    o    Beneficial owner(s) owning more than 25% of the company; and
    o    Authorised individual(s).
  • Corporate Resolution Form (GCEX Form)
In order to assist us classifying client as a professional client, we require documents that shows net assets of at least AED 3.5 million, (audited financials, balance sheet, or equivalent, to demonstrate you meet the AED 3.5 million net assets threshold).

 

Requirements for onboarding Individuals

While completing the Form, you will be requested to provide the following documents:

  • Proof of identity

  • Proof of address not older than 3 months

  • Source of funds - In order to assist us classifying client as a professional client, we require documents that shows net assets of at least AED 3.5 million, (audited financials, balance sheet, or equivalent, to demonstrate you meet the AED 3.5 million net assets threshold)

  OR

  • Providing evidence of yearly employment income showing 700,000 AED
